National Defence College introduces concurrent program on Climate Change and achieving Net Zero emissions

The parallel programme titled “Climate Change and Net Zero” commenced at the National Defence College (NDC) in Muscat today. The programme is designed to bring attention to the national strategy and national programme for achieving net zero emissions. It also aims to showcase best practices, sustainable solutions, and national priorities in order to reach the goal of net zero emissions. The inaugural day of the programme included a lecture on the “National Strategy for Organized Transformation to Net Zero” by Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals. The programme is scheduled to run until May 23, 2024, and is being organized as part of the NDC’s objective of enhancing the leadership skills and capabilities of government officials, senior officers in the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), and other military and security units.
