Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal is gearing up for his final French Open tournament in Paris. The 37-year-old will face world number four Alexander Zverev in what promises to be a thrilling first-round match. Despite being unseeded due to injury setbacks, Nadal is determined to give his all in his last season on tour. With 22 Grand Slam titles under his belt, Nadal holds a winning record against Zverev and will look to extend his dominance on clay courts.

Meanwhile, defending men’s champion Novak Djokovic will kick off his campaign against French veteran Pierre Hugues-Herbert. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is aiming for his fourth French Open title and is seeded to face Zverev in the semi-finals. Djokovic, who recently celebrated his 37th birthday, is yet to win a title in 2024 but remains a formidable force on the court. With rising stars like Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz also in the mix, the men’s draw promises some exciting matchups.

In the women’s draw, top seed Iga Swiatek is eyeing her fourth French Open title and fifth major overall. The Polish sensation, who has clinched clay-court titles in Madrid and Rome, is in red-hot form heading into the tournament. On the other hand, former world number one Naomi Osaka is looking to make her mark in Paris after a turbulent past few years. Ranked 134th, Osaka faces a tough opener against Lucia Bronzetti but is determined to make a strong comeback.

As the action unfolds at Roland Garros, fans can look forward to marquee matchups like Andy Murray vs. Stan Wawrinka in the men’s draw. The battle between these grizzled Grand Slam veterans is sure to be a highlight of the tournament. Additionally, rising stars like Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff will be ones to watch in the women’s draw. With the potential for upsets and surprises, the French Open promises to deliver high-octane tennis and unforgettable moments on the clay courts of Paris.

In a bid to make history, Swiatek aims to become the first player to win three consecutive women’s titles in Paris since Justine Henin in 2007. With her dominant form and unparalleled success on clay courts, Swiatek is a strong contender for the title. On the other hand, Osaka will look to put her past struggles behind her and mount a strong challenge for the championship. With a talented field of players vying for glory, the stage is set for a thrilling fortnight of tennis at the French Open.
