Spain’s defender Nacho Fernandez, who recently made the move to Saudi club Al Qadsiah from Real Madrid, is focused on his country’s Euro 2024 challenge. The 34-year-old signed a two-year deal as a free agent with Al Qadsiah after his contract with Real Madrid expired. Nacho had a successful career with Madrid, winning six Champions League titles among 26 trophies and captaining the team to victory against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

Despite the distractions surrounding his transfer, Nacho is determined to give his best for Spain at Euro 2024. He clarified during a press conference at the Euro base camp in Germany that his move to Saudi Arabia was not a goodbye to Real Madrid. Instead, he aims to focus on the upcoming matches and help Spain progress in the tournament. The defender expressed gratitude for the team’s success in the group stage, where they won all three games and are now set to face Georgia in the last 16.

Spain’s unbeaten run in the group stage has set high expectations for their performance in the knockout rounds. Nacho highlighted the team’s unity and determination heading into the crucial stages of the competition. Despite facing a minor injury against Croatia, the defender is confident in his readiness to play against Georgia. Coach Luis de la Fuente has managed the team well, making strategic substitutions when necessary, as seen in the victory over Italy.

Nacho’s professionalism and experience will be crucial for Spain as they aim to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of Euro 2024. The defender’s leadership on and off the field will be valuable in guiding the team to success. Amidst the challenges of juggling club commitments and international duties, Nacho remains committed to giving his best for Spain and contributing to their Euro campaign. The defender’s move to Al Qadsiah marks a new chapter in his career, but his loyalty to the national team remains unwavering.

As Spain prepares to face Georgia in the knockout stage, Nacho’s presence in the squad brings a sense of stability and confidence. The defender’s professionalism and dedication to the game will be vital in navigating the challenges of a high-stakes tournament like the Euros. With his wealth of experience and leadership qualities, Nacho is poised to play a key role in Spain’s quest for European glory. As the team gears up for their next match, all eyes will be on Nacho and his influential presence on the pitch.
