The fourth edition of the “Think and Answer” cultural competition kicked off recently under the theme “Back to School” in Doha. Organized by the Hour and Hour Program in collaboration with Msheireb Downtown Doha, the competition saw the participation of students from various youth centres and schools. The event began with a ceremony where students from Al Khor Model School for Boys and Al Jamiliya Youth Centre performed the national anthem, setting the stage for an exciting and engaging competition.

The first day of the competition saw a great turnout at the Msheireb Gallery, where the audience enthusiastically responded to questions posed by media personality Mohammed Al Marri and young broadcaster Asmaa Al Kuwari. CEO of the Hour and Hour Program, Tamani Al Yafei, highlighted the cooperation of governmental and non-governmental institutions, as well as media support from local media outlets and social media platforms. The involvement of schools such as Al Dhakira School and the Friends of the Environment Center enriched the competition with workshops on heritage greeting cards and the importance of local plants.

Apart from the competition and question sessions, a variety of workshops were conducted to provide participants with skills and knowledge in different fields. Workshops on the heritage and historical significance of wild plants in Qatar, calligraphy, greeting cards with a heritage theme, and storytelling were offered. The aim was to offer a diverse range of workshops encompassing cultural, sports, and educational themes to cater to the interests of all participants.

The Think and Answer competition was launched recently to preserve and promote cultural and artistic heritage in collaboration with various authorities in the country. The goal is to foster partnerships with community institutions and develop artistic talent through a blend of culture, sports, learning, and heritage activities. Al Yafei assured that the competition will continue with future editions in various areas of the country to ensure inclusivity and diversity in participation.

In her closing remarks, Al Yafei expressed gratitude to all supporters of the Hour and Hour program, including government institutions, individuals, and private entities. She emphasized the program’s commitment to expanding its initiatives throughout Qatar with the help of God’s grace and the support of partners who have contributed to its success. The Hour and Hour program aims to continue developing and expanding its initiatives to reach all corners of the country, thanks to the combined efforts and support received from various stakeholders.
