The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) in Doha, Qatar has announced the opening of nominations for the 6th edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Housing Award for 2024-2025. This year’s award will focus on the theme of digital/smart applications and technologies in housing projects and programs. The Ministry has outlined four main axes for the award topics, which include the economic impact, time impact, innovation, and user-friendliness of the applications or technologies used in the projects. Applicants are required to address at least two of these axes, with the deadline set for February 1, 2025.

According to the Director of the Housing Department at MSDF, Nasser bin Muhanna Al Mannai, the top three winners of the GCC Housing Award will receive cash prizes. The first-place winner will receive QR200,000, the second-place winner will receive QR100,000, and the third-place winner will receive QR75,000. The Ministry will review all nominations to ensure compliance with the award’s conditions before submitting them to the GCC Secretariat-General for further consideration.

Interested individuals are invited to fill out the nomination form and submit it to the international cooperation department at MSDF before the deadline. Nominations can be submitted through the Ministry’s website, and applicants are encouraged to cover innovative and unique applications or technologies that provide technical and practical solutions in the field of housing projects.

The GCC Housing Award aims to recognize and promote the use of digital/smart applications and technologies in housing projects across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. By focusing on the economic and time impacts, as well as the innovation and user-friendliness of these applications, the award seeks to encourage advancements in the housing sector that enhance the quality of life for residents in the region. The competition is open to individuals, organizations, and companies involved in housing projects and programs within the GCC countries.

Winners of the GCC Housing Award will not only receive cash prizes but also gain recognition for their contributions to the housing sector. By highlighting successful projects that have incorporated digital/smart applications and technologies, the award aims to inspire others to adopt similar strategies in their own housing developments. The Ministry of Social Development and Family is committed to supporting and promoting innovation in the housing sector, and the GCC Housing Award is one way in which they are recognizing excellence in this area.

Overall, the 6th edition of the GCC Housing Award for 2024-2025 presents a valuable opportunity for individuals and organizations in the housing sector to showcase their innovative and user-friendly applications and technologies. By participating in this prestigious competition, nominees have the chance to gain recognition, cash prizes, and the potential to inspire others in the industry. The Ministry of Social Development and Family is looking forward to reviewing the nominations and celebrating the advancements in digital/smart applications and technologies in housing projects across the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
