A group of five MPs in Bahrain, including Mohammed Al Maarifi, Ahmed Al Saloom, Abdullah Al Dhaen, Basma Mubarak, and Mamdouh Al Saleh, have submitted a proposal to the government. This proposal suggests allowing employers with permits for foreign workers to utilise these workers across all their businesses and commercial activities within the same sector. The aim of this proposal is to grant greater freedom in entrepreneurship, expand business activities, and provide opportunities for emerging projects, small and medium-sized enterprises to grow and capitalise on new opportunities in the labour market.

If this proposal is implemented, it would enable employers to utilise foreign workers across all their owned establishments and commercial activities within the same sector. This would promote investment and economic development in the Kingdom. The idea is that if an employer has several different projects or activities, they could utilise foreign workers in each one to boost productivity, expand business size, and increase investments. By adopting this proposal, employers would benefit from the diverse skills and experiences of foreign workers across various fields and activities.

The proposal also suggests that allowing employers to utilise foreign workers in different fields and activities could contribute to improving the quality of products and services offered. This would also facilitate knowledge and technology exchange between local and foreign workers, ultimately enhancing the Kingdom’s economic competitiveness. The overall goal of the proposal is to provide a platform for employers to improve their business efficiency, reduce production costs, and become more competitive both locally and internationally.

The MPs behind this proposal believe that by granting employers the freedom to utilise foreign workers in different fields, it will lead to an increase in investment, economic growth, and productivity. Additionally, it will open up new opportunities for emerging projects, small and medium-sized enterprises to thrive and expand. The proposal aims to create a more conducive environment for businesses to flourish and take advantage of the diverse skills and experiences that foreign workers bring to the table.

In conclusion, the proposal put forward by the five MPs in Bahrain seeks to stimulate economic growth, promote investment, and enhance the Kingdom’s economic competitiveness. By allowing employers to utilise foreign workers across all their businesses and commercial activities within the same sector, it aims to provide a boost to entrepreneurship, business activities, and opportunities for emerging projects. If implemented, this proposal could lead to a more efficient and competitive business environment, ultimately benefiting both employers and the Kingdom as a whole.
