Mohammed Mardi, a UAE fighter, achieved a historic victory by winning the Arab Welterweight Championship title in a thrilling performance at the Arab Fight Night Muay Thai Professional Championship in Abu Dhabi. This win not only earned Mardi the coveted belt but also highlighted the UAE’s success in the event. The competition saw 28 elite fighters from 14 Arab nations in intense bouts, showcasing the best of Muay Thai.

Mardi, a three-time world champion, expressed his pride in winning the title, emphasizing its significance as a representation of the UAE’s passion and determination. His journey to victory was challenging, culminating in a hard-fought final match against Algeria’s Lyes Ouari. Despite facing a formidable opponent, Mardi’s strategic brilliance led him to a decisive victory, with a unanimous decision after three rounds.
