Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has denied rumours circulating on various social media platforms about the spread of infectious bacteria in the Sultanate of Oman.

MOH said in a statement :”There is no truth to what is being circulated about the spread of infectious bacteria in the Sultanate of Oman. We ask everyone to stay away from rumours to avoid legal accountability.”

Recently, the text was circulated stating the following: “No one will eat a burger from any restaurant in these two weeks. It is scientifically proven that these bacteria reproduce in canned food and meat. “
