The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has issued 568 decisions to penalize violators of the Regulation of Domestic Workers and similar regulations. These decisions include bans on recruitment in 281 cases and fines in 287 cases. The ministry’s competent authorities have been monitoring violations by employers who allow their domestic workers to work in establishments or for their own account. As a result, petitions have been filed against these employers before the Domestic Workers Committees. The ministry is urging all citizens and expatriates to be cautious when dealing with workers who violate the regulations in order to avoid penalties. Reporting violations of the Labor Law can be done through the ministry’s smartphone application or by calling the unified number 19911.

By penalizing violators, the ministry is sending a strong message that such violations will not be tolerated. Employers who enable their domestic workers to work in unauthorized establishments or for their own account are being held accountable for their actions. This proactive approach aims to ensure compliance with the law and prevent further exploitation of domestic workers.

It is essential for all individuals in Saudi Arabia to abide by the Labor Law and regulations governing domestic workers. Violations not only result in penalties for the employers but also impact the welfare of domestic workers. By reporting violations through the ministry’s application or hotline, individuals can play a vital role in upholding the law and protecting the rights of domestic workers. This collective effort is crucial in creating a safe and fair working environment for all individuals in the country.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is calling on everyone to be vigilant and report any instances of violations of the Labor Law. By working together, citizens and expatriates can help ensure that all workers are treated fairly and in accordance with the law. The ministry’s efforts to penalize violators and enforce regulations demonstrate its commitment to upholding labor rights and promoting a culture of compliance. Through these actions, the ministry is working towards creating a more just and equitable society for all individuals in Saudi Arabia.

It is important for employers to understand their responsibilities towards their domestic workers and ensure compliance with the regulations in place. By following the law and treating domestic workers with respect, employers can avoid facing penalties and legal consequences. Employers who fail to adhere to the regulations risk not only financial penalties but also reputational damage. By prioritizing the well-being and rights of domestic workers, employers can contribute to a more ethical and sustainable work environment.
