Ministry of Education Signs Agreement to Fund Auditorium at Al Amal School for the Deaf

The Ministry of Education in Muscat, Oman has recently teamed up with Mitsui E&P Middle East to support and finance the establishment of a sensory and visual interaction hall at Al Amal School for the Deaf in Al Khuwair. This new agreement aims to enhance the sensory skills of students with special needs and provide a stimulating educational environment for them through the tools and devices in the hall. By offering these resources, the Ministry hopes to improve learning, evaluation, and rehabilitation for individuals with functional disorders.

The signing of the agreement took place at the Ministry’s General Diwan and was attended by various officials from both parties, including the Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs and the General Manager of the company. The new hall is designed to create a multi-sensory educational environment that supports the development of sensory skills while also focusing on cognitive, motor, and social abilities. This approach aims to improve concentration and develop various skills and abilities for students with special needs through a therapeutic and educational approach.

The Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs expressed the Ministry’s commitment to creating an inclusive educational environment that caters to the unique needs of students with special needs. The new sensory and visual interaction hall will be equipped with physical therapy tools, sensory devices, and equipment that are globally recognized as effective tools for developing sensory skills in individuals with special needs. The partnership with Mitsui E&P Middle East reflects the Ministry’s dedication to collaborating with private sector institutions to enhance the quality of education services for individuals with special needs.

The Ministry of Education hopes that the new sensory and visual interaction hall at Al Amal School for the Deaf will enable students to develop appropriate communication skills, feel satisfied and stable psychologically, and strengthen their senses. By providing these resources, the Ministry aims to help students with special needs integrate better into the surrounding community and improve their overall quality of life. The support and financing provided by Mitsui E&P Middle East are greatly appreciated and will have a significant impact on the educational services offered to individuals with special needs in Oman.
