Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif recently launched the updated Salamah Portal identity of the Saudi Civil Defense Directorate in Riyadh. This updated ID allows public and private sector establishments to benefit from licensing procedures through an integrated electronic system with various government agencies. The main aim of this portal is to facilitate the investor’s journey and promote a safe environment in facilities by providing fire prevention and protection procedures and requirements. The Salamah Portal offers a wide range of civil defense services to investors, making it easy for them to access and improve safety levels in all facilities across the Kingdom.

During the launch, the minister also inaugurated several electronic services, including the service of amending and extending licenses, and the investor’s journey statement service. This brings the total number of electronic services provided by the portal through the Absher Business platform to 34 services. Prince Abdulaziz also took the time to inspect the progress of work at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Civil Defense. He reviewed modern mechanisms and specialized teams in civil defense work, equipped with the latest global technical equipment and modern technical services. The Director General of Civil Defense, Maj. Gen. Hammoud Al-Faraj, provided a brief explanation of the efforts implemented by the directorate in 2023 and the targets for the upcoming years.

The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Member of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Permanent Committee for Fatwa Sheikh Abdul Salam Al-Sulaiman, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs Lt. Gen. Saeed Al-Qahtani, Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham Al-Falih, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Dr. Khalid Al-Battal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs Muhammad Al-Muhanna, and Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami. This event highlighted the commitment of the Saudi government to improving safety standards and streamlining processes for investors in the Kingdom.

Overall, the updated Salamah Portal identity of the Saudi Civil Defense Directorate aims to enhance safety and security measures in facilities across the Kingdom. By providing easy access to various civil defense services for investors, the portal promotes a safe environment and facilitates the licensing procedures required for fire prevention and protection. Through an integrated electronic system with multiple government agencies, the portal streamlines the investor’s journey and ensures compliance with safety regulations. The launch of additional electronic services further demonstrates the government’s commitment to modernizing processes and improving efficiency in civil defense operations. With the support of high-level officials and the latest technical equipment, the Directorate of Civil Defense is well-equipped to meet its targets and ensure the safety of all facilities in Saudi Arabia.
