Minister of Hajj and Umrah wraps up official visit to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah recently visited Tajikistan and Turkmenistan with a high-level delegation from the Guests of God Service Program Committee, of which he is chairman. The purpose of his visit was to enhance cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the two Central Asian states in the pilgrim service sector. The goal is to improve and enrich the experience of the guests of God so they can perform their rituals with ease and comfort. Al-Rabiah welcomed guests from Tajikistan and Turkmenistan throughout the year via various ports of entry, demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s commitment to caring for pilgrims and ensuring they have a peaceful, stress-free experience.

The Saudi government places great importance on guests of God from around the world, striving to provide top-notch services and amenities to enhance their pilgrimage experience and ensure their safety and comfort. During his visit to Tajikistan, Al-Rabiah met with high-ranking officials, including the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Oliy Majlis. He also held discussions with the Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs and Organization of Traditions, Celebrations, and Ceremonies, as well as other relevant bodies involved in serving pilgrims and visitors from Tajikistan.

In Turkmenistan, Al-Rabiah met with the Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Social and Religious Affairs, the Mufti of Turkmenistan, and the Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency. The Turkmen officials expressed gratitude for the care and facilities provided by Saudi Arabia to guests from their country. Discussions centered on ways to further cooperation and coordination to enhance services and procedures for Turkmen pilgrims. These visits are part of the international communication efforts of the Guests of God Service Program, which is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives.
