Meteorology Department issues warning for strong winds tonight

The Department of Meteorology in Doha, Qatar has released a daily weather report stating that the weather inshore tonight until 6:00am on Friday will be slightly dusty with some clouds at times. Offshore, it will see hazy conditions with some clouds as well. The report also warns of strong winds and high seas at certain places. In terms of wind direction, inshore will be northwesterly – northeasterly at a speed of 05 to 15 knots gusting to 25 knots at times. Offshore, the wind will mainly be northwesterly at a speed of 08 to 18 knots, reaching 25 knots at places at times.

Visibility is expected to be reduced to 04 to 10 km in some inshore areas and 04 to 09 km offshore. Sea state inshore will be between 1 to 3 feet, rising to 05 feet at times, while offshore will see sea state ranging from 2 to 5 feet, rising to 8 feet at times. It is important for residents and sailors to take caution and be aware of these weather conditions to ensure safety and preparedness. Whether commuting or engaging in any maritime activities, it is recommended to stay updated on weather forecasts and adhere to any warnings issued by the Department of Meteorology.
