Messi, the beloved Border Collie who starred in the Oscar-winning film “Anatomy of a Fall”, is making a return to the big stage. This time, he will be attending the Cannes Film Festival as a red-carpet interviewer, equipped with a special 360-degree microphone and camera to chat with the stars. Comedian Raphael Mezrahi will be lending his voice to Messi, allowing the talented dog to interact with the celebrities behind the scenes. The resulting short clips will be shared on French channels and TikTok, keeping fans updated on Messi’s latest adventures.

After earning global recognition for his outstanding performance in “Anatomy of a Fall”, including winning the Palm Dog prize at Cannes, Messi became a social media sensation during the Oscar campaign. He was seen rubbing shoulders with Hollywood A-listers like Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, and Billie Eilish, showcasing his acting skills in various scenes, including feigning intoxication and vomiting. Messi’s coach and owner, Laura Martin, revealed that it took two months of rigorous training for Messi to master these challenging scenes, demonstrating his dedication to his craft.

Despite the hard work involved in preparing for his acting roles, Messi clearly enjoys his time in the spotlight. During a recent visit to his home, Messi eagerly posed for the camera and recorded messages for stars like Emma Stone, showcasing his playful personality. Martin shared that while some may have suggested Messi would be better off resting at home, he thrives on interaction and loves being a part of the action. Martin, who stumbled into the cinema world by chance, never expected Messi’s success to reach such heights, considering he had been rejected for screen appearances in the past for being “too beautiful and taking up too much space.”

While Messi may share the limelight with Renard, another talented acting dog in their apartment, it’s clear that Messi is the true star. Since his appearance at the Oscars, Martin revealed that Messi has received offers for an “American script”, hinting at more exciting opportunities in the future. With his charm, talent, and love for people, Messi has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide and continues to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Whether he’s gracing the red carpet at Cannes or filming new projects, Messi’s journey as a canine actor is just beginning, promising more success and adventures in the years to come.
