This week, Qatar is facing adverse weather conditions with strong winds and high seas, as per the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD). The department has issued a marine warning starting from May 27, advising all citizens to avoid any marine activities due to the anticipated rough sea conditions. Sea waves are expected to range from 4 to 7 feet, with some areas experiencing waves as high as 11 feet. The public is strongly advised to refrain from activities such as swimming, boat trips, scuba diving, free diving, surfing, fishing tours, and windsurfing during this time to ensure safety.

On May 28, strong winds are expected to blow from the northwesterly direction at speeds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts reaching up to 35 knots at certain places and times. However, wind speeds are predicted to decrease to 9-19 knots by night time. Additionally, there may be a slight dust to blowing dust in the air, which is expected to persist throughout the week. It is important for residents and visitors to stay informed about weather updates and adhere to the QMD’s warnings and guidelines to avoid any potential risks or dangers during this period of inclement weather.

The anticipated strong winds and high seas forecasted by the QMD for this week are a cause for concern, prompting the department to issue a marine warning. It is crucial for individuals to prioritize safety and avoid engaging in any marine activities, as the rough sea conditions can pose serious risks to anyone venturing out onto the waters. With sea waves ranging between 4 and 7 feet and potentially rising to 11 feet in certain areas, the dangers associated with these conditions cannot be overlooked.

As the week progresses, the forecast indicates that strong winds will continue to blow northwesterly at speeds of 15 to 25 knots, with gusts reaching up to 35 knots at times, before gradually decreasing to 9-19 knots by nightfall. The presence of slight dust to blowing dust in the atmosphere adds another layer of caution for individuals venturing outdoors. By heeding the advice of the QMD and refraining from marine activities, the public can protect themselves from the adverse effects of the inclement weather conditions.

In light of the marine warning issued by the QMD, it is essential for residents and visitors in Qatar to exercise caution and prioritize safety during this period of anticipated strong winds and high seas. Engaging in activities such as swimming, boating, diving, surfing, fishing, or windsurfing is strongly discouraged in order to prevent any potential accidents or emergencies. Staying informed about weather updates and adhering to the guidelines provided by the QMD can help in ensuring the well-being and security of individuals in the face of challenging weather conditions.

In conclusion, the marine warning issued by the Qatar Meteorology Department serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance and caution during times of adverse weather. By avoiding marine activities and staying informed about the latest forecasts and updates, individuals can mitigate the risks associated with strong winds and high seas. Prioritizing safety and adhering to the guidelines set forth by the QMD is essential for safeguarding against any potential dangers or hazards that may arise as a result of the inclement weather conditions.
