Mance scores hat-trick as Umm Salal defeat Al Gharafa

Croatian forward Antonio Mance led Umm Salal to a dominant 5-0 victory over Al Gharafa in the QSL Cup, scoring a sensational hat-trick. This win placed Umm Salal in second place in Group B, tied with leaders Al Wakrah. The Orange Fortress took the lead with Abdullah Khaled’s goal just before halftime, followed by Mance scoring two goals in quick succession. Kenji Gorre and another goal from Mance sealed the victory for Umm Salal. Al Gharafa, on the other hand, suffered their second straight defeat and dropped to the bottom of the group.

In another Group B match, Al Khor earned their first point in the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Al Shamal. Ibrahim Nasser Kalla put Al Khor in the lead in the 71st minute, but Ahmed Hagana equalized for Al Shamal four minutes before the final whistle. Al Shamal currently sit third in the group with four points. Meanwhile, in Group A, Al Duhail secured the top spot with a 1-0 victory over Al Rayyan, courtesy of a goal from Luis Alberto. Al Ahli also notched their first win by defeating Qatar SC 1-0, while Al Arabi claimed a 2-0 victory over Al Shahania.

The fourth round of the QSL Cup will kick off on Friday with Group A teams taking the field. The tournament has seen some exciting matches and standout performances from players like Antonio Mance, who has been instrumental in Umm Salal’s success so far. With the competition heating up, teams will be looking to solidify their positions in the group standings and secure a spot in the knockout stage. Football fans can expect more thrilling action as the tournament progresses, with teams giving their all to lift the prestigious QSL Cup trophy at the end of the season.
