The Civil Defense in Manama successfully extinguished a massive fire in the old Manama Market after more than 30 hours of intense fighting. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of one man and two women, with nine others sustaining injuries and cases of suffocation. The Public Prosecution of the Capital Governorate launched an investigation into the fire, with prosecutors conducting initial inspections and appointing a forensic doctor to conduct autopsies on the deceased.

The Crime Scene Team of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science and the General Directorate of Civil Defense were assigned to collect evidence from the fire scene and prepare technical reports to determine the cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances and details of the incident. Rescue and civil defense teams recovered the bodies from the rubble of the building and the injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Salmaniya Medical Complex.

The residents involved in the incident are in stable condition, with injuries ranging from burns of varying degrees to several fractures. The tragic event has shocked the community in Manama and highlighted the importance of fire safety measures in residential and commercial buildings. The Public Prosecution is working diligently to uncover the cause of the fire and determine any possible negligence or violations that may have led to the tragic outcome.

The intense firefighting efforts by the Civil Defense team in Manama demonstrate their dedication to protecting the community and saving lives during emergencies. The prompt response and thorough investigation by the Public Prosecution reflect a commitment to seeking justice for the victims and holding accountable those responsible for the fire. The collaboration between different government agencies in collecting evidence and conducting autopsies shows a coordinated effort to uncover the truth behind the tragic incident.

The loss of life and injuries resulting from the fire serve as a reminder of the importance of fire safety awareness and preparedness. It is crucial for residents and business owners to prioritize fire prevention measures, including regular maintenance of fire alarms, extinguishers, and evacuation plans. The tragic fire in the old Manama Market is a wake-up call for the community to take proactive steps to ensure the safety of their homes and businesses.

As the investigation into the cause of the fire continues, it is essential for authorities to identify any lapses in fire safety protocols and take corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future. The tragic deaths and injuries in Manama Market should prompt a thorough review of fire safety regulations and enforcement measures to protect residents and businesses from the devastating impacts of fires. By learning from this tragedy, the community can work together to prevent future loss of life and property due to fires.
