The Sultanate of Oman has begun its participation at the Saudi Food Show 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, represented by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn). This event is considered as Saudi Arabia’s largest F&B sourcing event, with over 1,000 exhibitors from 97 countries. Dr. Rashid Al Alawi, Investment Director at Madayn, highlighted the importance of the Sultanate’s participation in this event, as it provides a platform to enhance international trade relations, explore business opportunities, and showcase advancements in food industries, packaging, and processing. Through participating in the Saudi Food Show, Madayn aims to promote Omani goods, attract new investments, and contribute to the national economy in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

The Sultanate’s pavilion at the Saudi Food Show also includes the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SMEs Development Authority, and Salalah Free Zone, alongside leading Omani companies, factories, and SMEs in the food industry. Companies such as Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives, Al Bahja Group, Al Zain Poultry, Bayan Coffee, and others are showcasing their products and technologies at the event. This provides them with the opportunity to introduce their products, showcase their manufacturing processes, and explore potential collaborations with other players in the F&B sector, with a focus on production, packaging, and presentation. Omani firms are actively seeking agents, contracts, and deals to expand their operations globally.

By participating in the Saudi Food Show, Omani companies aim to demonstrate the quality and diversity of their products to a global audience, while also highlighting the incentives and facilities available to potential investors in the Sultanate’s industrial cities. This initiative is in line with Madayn’s objective of attracting new investments and driving growth in the food industry, ultimately contributing to the advancement of the national economy as per Oman Vision 2040. The exhibition serves as a platform for Omani companies to network with key stakeholders from various markets, fostering collaboration and business growth in the Sultanate’s food industry.

The participation of Omani companies in the Saudi Food Show is not only about showcasing products and technologies, but also about building relationships and exploring opportunities for growth and expansion. By engaging with international stakeholders and potential investors, Omani companies can create new avenues for collaboration and trade that can benefit the overall industry and economy in the Sultanate. The event provides a conducive environment for fostering communication, exploring business synergies, and driving investments, all of which are vital for the sustained growth and development of Oman’s food industry.

In conclusion, the Sultanate’s participation in the Saudi Food Show is a strategic move to promote Omani goods, attract investments, and facilitate networking opportunities with key stakeholders in the F&B sector. By showcasing their products and technologies, Omani companies aim to expand their operations globally and contribute to the growth of the national economy. The event serves as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and business development, aligning with Oman Vision 2040’s goals of economic diversification and sustainable growth. Through their participation, Omani companies are positioning themselves as key players in the global food industry, driving growth and prosperity for the Sultanate.
