Al Shaqab Racing’s Luwsail emerged victorious at the Gr.1 (PA) UAE President Cup, showcasing a strong performance at Doncaster. This four-year-old Purebred Arabian, sired by Al Mourtajez and trained by François Rohaut, demonstrated significant improvement after finishing third in the Gr.1 (PA) Qatar Derby des Pur-Sang Arabes de 4 Ans. With jockey Ioritz Mendizabal guiding the way, Luwsail triumphed over the favorite Extra Time, marking an important milestone in his racing career. Owned and bred by Al Shaqab Racing, Luwsail now holds the prestigious title of Gr.1 (PA) winner.

During the race, Luwsail displayed exceptional skill and determination under Mendizabal’s expert guidance. As the runners maintained a keen pace due to the slow lead set by Amirat Al Zaman, Luwsail strategically positioned himself at the rear, biding his time for the perfect opportunity to make his move. Despite facing challenges and struggling to find a clear path in the final stretch, Luwsail demonstrated his resilience and perseverance. In the last moments of the race, the talented colt seized the lead, crossing the finish line ahead of his competitors. Extra Time trailed behind in second place, with Molfit securing the third spot.

Luwsail’s impressive performance is a testament to his breeding and training, reflecting the exceptional qualities instilled by Al Shaqab Racing. Bred from Al Dowha, who is a half-sister to the Gr.3 (PA) placed Al Hayyem and Gr.3 (PA) placed Al Nashmi, Luwsail comes from a lineage of successful Purebred Arabians. His victory in the UAE President Cup not only showcases his individual talent but also highlights the dedication and expertise of his connections. As a Gr.1 (PA) winner, Luwsail has carved a place for himself among the elite ranks of Purebred Arabian racing, solidifying his status as a rising star in the industry.

The partnership between Luwsail and his jockey Mendizabal proved to be a winning combination, with both showcasing their talent and teamwork on the racetrack. Mendizabal’s strategic riding and expert handling of the young Purebred Arabian played a crucial role in securing their victory at the prestigious Gr.1 (PA) UAE President Cup. Together, they navigated the challenges of the race, making calculated moves and seizing opportunities to outperform their competitors. As they crossed the finish line in triumph, Luwsail and Mendizabal celebrated their hard-earned victory, with their sights set on future success in the world of Purebred Arabian racing.

The success of Luwsail at the UAE President Cup serves as a testament to the dedication and commitment of Al Shaqab Racing to producing top-notch Purebred Arabians with the potential for greatness. Bred for excellence and trained to perfection, Luwsail exemplifies the high standards set by Al Shaqab Racing in developing champion racehorses. As he continues to progress in his racing career, Luwsail is poised to make his mark on the international stage, representing not only his connections but also the legacy of his esteemed bloodline. With his Gr.1 (PA) victory at the UAE President Cup, Luwsail has solidified his status as a formidable competitor and a promising prospect in the world of Purebred Arabian racing.
