Lusail Boulevard Fireworks: Planning for a Major Event

Lusail City is preparing for a significant public gathering as residents and visitors alike plan to ring in the New Year at the boulevard. The event will run from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, featuring a range of activities culminating in a midnight fireworks display. Authorities are emphasizing the importance of utilizing designated transportation options to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees.

Parking and Transportation Details

Visitors traveling from Doha via Al Khor Coastal Road or the Lusail Expressway are directed to park at Al Wadi Parking, specifically in the yellow-designated areas. Unauthorized parking will result in fines, according to a statement released by Lusail City officials.

Those arriving from West Doha should use Al Kharayej Parking, also in the yellow areas, accessible via Exit 29A from Al Khor Coastal Road. Directional signage will be in place along Lusail Street to guide drivers. Shuttle buses will operate from both Al Kharayej and Al Wadi parking areas, beginning at 3:00 PM, providing transportation to and from Lusail Boulevard.

Additionally, taxi services will be available with a designated pick-up and drop-off location near the boulevard. For those preferring public transport, the Lusail QNB Metro Station offers a convenient route to the event.

Exclusive Access with “Al Majlis” Tickets

Spectators seeking a more exclusive experience can purchase tickets for “Lusail Boulevard – Al Majlis,” a private venue within the event area. These tickets, priced at QR300 for adults and QR150 for children aged six to twelve (with free entry for children under six), include access to dedicated parking, which will be strictly verified.

Ticket holders will also receive complimentary food and beverages throughout the evening, as well as event giveaways. The Al Majlis option provides a premium viewing experience for the fireworks and other performances.

The event’s schedule includes a 3D mapping and laser show projected onto the boulevard’s iconic towers, leading up to the midnight countdown and the spectacular fireworks display. The use of pyrodrones is expected to add a unique element to the show, enhancing the visual experience for the audience. Qatar has become increasingly known for its elaborate public events and displays, attracting both domestic and international attention.

Traffic management will be a key focus, as similar large-scale events in Doha have previously experienced significant congestion. The implementation of shuttle services and designated parking areas aims to mitigate these issues and ensure a more organized flow of people. The success of these measures will be closely monitored by city officials.

Looking ahead, the organizers will assess the effectiveness of the transportation plan following the event. Any necessary adjustments will be considered for future large gatherings in Lusail City. The overall impact of the event on local businesses and tourism will also be evaluated in the coming weeks, providing insights into the economic benefits of such celebrations.

The city encourages attendees to plan their journeys in advance and to arrive early to secure parking and utilize the shuttle services. Further updates and information regarding the New Year’s Eve fireworks can be found on the official Lusail City website and social media channels. The focus remains on providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all families celebrating the arrival of the new year in Qatar.
