Lukasek leads Harb to victory at Al Uqda Racecourse

In a thrilling day at the Al Uqda Racecourse, Harb (QA) emerged victorious at the 2nd Al Rayyan Race Meeting – Sealine Cup (Division 2). Owned by Al Rabban Racing and trained by Ibrahim Saeed Al Malki, Harb clinched the win by a narrow short head in the 1400-metre race for Local Thoroughbred Conditions 3-year-olds and up. Jockey Tomas Lukasek expertly guided Harb to the finish line, showcasing an impressive display of skill and teamwork.

Another standout performance came from Doha Bu Thaila (QA) in the Local Thoroughbred Novice Plate for 3-year-olds over 1300m. Under the guidance of jockey Soufiane Saadi and trainer Alban de Mieulle, Doha Bu Thaila secured a commanding victory by two and a half lengths for Wathnan Racing. This win marked a significant achievement for the team, highlighting their dedication to excellence in the sport of horse racing.

Ghassan (IRE), owned by Osama Omer E Al Dafea, also delivered a stellar performance in the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate for 3-6-year-olds over 1300m. With Saadi in the saddle, Ghassan showcased speed and agility on the track, ultimately crossing the finish line in first place. The victory was a testament to the hard work and training that goes into preparing horses for competitive races, demonstrating the importance of teamwork between horse, jockey, and trainer.

The day kicked off with Eng. Dhafi Rashid H A Al Marri’s Djedahess (FR) claiming victory in the Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate for 4-year-olds over 2100m. With a strong showing on the track, Djedahess highlighted the skill and expertise of the team behind the horse, including the owner, trainer, and jockey. The win set a positive tone for the rest of the day’s races, inspiring excitement and anticipation among spectators and participants alike.

Overall, the 2nd Al Rayyan Race Meeting – Sealine Cup (Division 2) at Al Uqda Racecourse was a thrilling event filled with impressive performances from both horses and riders. Each race showcased the dedication and skill of those involved in the sport of horse racing, as well as the strong bond between horse and rider. As the winners celebrated their victories and the spectators cheered on their favorite competitors, the atmosphere was electric with energy and excitement. This event served as a testament to the enduring popularity and appeal of horse racing in Qatar, attracting fans and participants from across the region.
