The Qatar Prix du Jockey Club, also known as the French Derby, sponsored by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC), took place at Chantilly where Look De Vega emerged as the winner. Trained by father and son Carlos and Yann Lerner, Look De Vega showed an impressive performance to secure the victory. The President of the Asian Equestrian Federation and Vice Chairman of QREC, Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiya, crowned the winners, marking a special moment for the Lerner family. The duo expressed their delight at the win, with Yann Lerner describing Look De Vega as a standout horse with great potential.

Aidan O’Brien was in attendance to saddle Diego Velazquez, who finished eighth in the race, 24 hours after training City of Troy to win the Epsom Derby. Despite not coming out on top, Velazquez’s jockey, Ronan Thomas, expressed pride in their performance and the opportunity to leave a mark in racing history. Look De Vega, bred by Lucien Urano, displayed exceptional skill on the heavy ground, winning by two lengths from First Look, trained by Andre Fabre. Sosie, trained by Fabre, finished third, while the English challenger Ghostwriter came in fourth.

The victory at the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club was a significant achievement for Look De Vega, setting a new standard for the horse’s breeding pedigree. The Lerner family, proud of their horse’s performance, emphasized the exceptional qualities of Look De Vega that stood out in the race. The presence of top trainers and jockeys added excitement to the event, with Aidan O’Brien’s participation and Ronan Thomas’ proud moment contributing to the atmosphere of competition and sportsmanship.

The Qatar Prix du Jockey Club witnessed some intense competition amongst the horses, with Look De Vega ultimately emerging as the champion on the challenging ground. The race saw a close battle between the top contenders, with Look De Vega showcasing his talent by pulling ahead of the field and securing a comfortable victory. The win was a validation of the horse’s potential and breeding, as acknowledged by breeder and co-owner Lucien Urano, who regarded Look De Vega as the best horse he has ever bred.

In conclusion, the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club provided a thrilling spectacle for horse racing enthusiasts, with Look De Vega stealing the show with a remarkable performance. The event was graced by the presence of prestigious figures from the equestrian world, including Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiya, adding to the prestige of the competition. The victory not only highlighted the talent and potential of Look De Vega but also showcased the dedication and skill of trainers, jockeys, and breeders involved in the world of horse racing. As the dust settles on another successful edition of the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club, the spotlight remains on Look De Vega as a deserving champion.
