Longines Hathab: Al Saaq and Al Mahmoud claim wins as Round 5 commences

The Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour’s fifth round took place at the outdoor arena of QEF, where riders competed in the Small Tour and Medium Tour competitions. In the Small Tour two phases competition, Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Saaq emerged victorious with Luna Beauty Hairconcept, finishing in 31.64 seconds. Saif Mohammed Al Naimi and Hamad Towaim Al Marri finished second and third, respectively. The podium winners of the Small Tour were all smiles as they posed for a photo with officials, celebrating their success.

Moving on to the Medium Tour, Ibrahim Youssef Al Mahmoud took the top spot with Hero, finishing in 59.82 seconds. Hussain Saeed Haidan and Fares Saad Al Qahtani took second and third place, respectively. The winners of the Medium Tour team event, the Al Shaqab team, consisting of Faris Saad Al Qahtani, Ibrahim Yousuf Al Mahmoud, and Saad Ahmed Al Saad, received their award. The team’s combined time of 129.9 seconds secured their spot on the podium, ahead of Doha Bank and Lekhwiya, who took second and third place, respectively.

The atmosphere at the event was filled with excitement and anticipation as riders showcased their skills and competed for top honors. Faisal Al Kahla, Director of the Longines Hathab Championship, and Mohammed Jaber Al Khayarin, Director of the Equestrian Education Department at Al Shaqab, crowned the winners, adding a sense of prestige to the event. The riders’ dedication and hard work paid off as they celebrated their achievements and basked in the glory of victory.
