Nottingham Forest pulled off a stunning upset by defeating Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield, ending the Reds’ perfect start to the Premier League season under Arne Slot. Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the winning goal for Forest 18 minutes from time, capitalizing on a mistake by the Liverpool defense. The result frustrated Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who admitted his team was sloppy and sluggish throughout the game. Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo praised his players for staying in the game and finding the winning moment. The victory lifted Forest into fourth place in the league with eight points from their first four games.

Manchester City took advantage of Liverpool’s defeat by defeating Brentford 2-1 to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Erling Haaland continued his impressive form by scoring a brace for City, bringing his tally to a record nine goals in the first four games of the season. Haaland’s goals helped City maintain their 100 percent record and secure the top spot in the league. Meanwhile, Manchester United bounced back from their defeat to Liverpool with a 3-0 win over Southampton. Goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho secured the victory for United.

Brighton remained unbeaten with a 0-0 draw against Ipswich, while Crystal Palace came from 2-0 down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Leicester, thanks to Jean-Philippe Mateta’s double. West Ham also secured a late 1-1 draw against Fulham with a goal from Danny Ings. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Tottenham faced off in the highly anticipated North London derby in Sunday’s action.

Overall, the Premier League saw some thrilling matches and surprising results in the latest round of games. Nottingham Forest’s upset victory over Liverpool, Manchester City’s continued dominance, and Manchester United’s bounce back performance were the highlights of the weekend. With the league table starting to take shape, fans can expect more exciting matches and unexpected outcomes as the season progresses. Stay tuned for more Premier League action as teams battle it out for glory on the pitch.
