Hortman Stem Cell Laboratory, the first GMP hybrid stem cell banking and molecular laboratory in the UAE, has recently launched its cutting-edge services in stem cell banking, regenerative medicine, and molecular and genomics testing. This milestone signifies a significant advancement in healthcare innovation in the region, with Hortman leading the way in advanced molecular and genomics testing, stem cell banking, and regenerative medicine. The laboratory aims to revolutionize healthcare in the UAE by offering a unique combination of services powered by state-of-the-art technologies.

Dr. Fatma Al Hashimi, Director of Hortman Stem Cell Laboratory and Chairperson of the Dubai Stem Cell Congress (DSCC), has outlined the lab’s mission to provide sustainable healthcare through innovative services. Emphasizing the commitment to delivering pioneering medical solutions and enhancing patient outcomes, Dr. Al Hashimi highlighted the importance of collaboration in making the world a better place. The event showcased the laboratory’s comprehensive services, including stem cell banking and molecular and genomics testing, along with partnerships with international research bodies to advance stem cell therapies and personalized healthcare.

During the launch event, Hortman Stem Cell Laboratory signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with prominent partners such as the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory, Dubai Camel Hospital, Marga-and-Walter-Boll-Laboratory for Cardiac Tissue Engineering, Eppendorf, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education. These partnerships will accelerate the development of advanced stem cell products, positioning Hortman as a leader in medical innovation. Dr. Fatma Al Hashimi, an accomplished project manager and stem cell consultant, leads the laboratory with her expertise in project management, molecular genetics, and establishing healthcare initiatives in the UAE. Her leadership has been instrumental in the establishment of the Dubai Stem Cell Congress (DSCC), which aims to raise awareness and promote advancements in regenerative medicine.
