Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati recently met with Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater in Beirut. The meeting focused on strengthening the cooperative relations between the two countries and discussing ways to support and enhance them. They also talked about the latest developments in Lebanon, including de-escalating tensions, addressing human casualties and material damages, and containing the humanitarian repercussions of the Israeli aggression.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Mikati expressed his appreciation to the State of Qatar for the support it has provided to help Lebanon overcome the challenges it is currently facing. Minister Al Khater reiterated Qatar’s full solidarity with Lebanon and its commitment to supporting the Lebanese people and their right to maintain sovereignty. She mentioned the launch of an air bridge by Qatar to send urgent medical and relief aid to Lebanon, following the directives of Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Qatar expressed deep concern over the recent developments in Lebanon and pledged to support efforts aimed at unity, security, and stability in the country. The State Minister highlighted Qatar’s readiness to provide assistance to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region. The meeting also covered various topics of mutual interest between the two countries, reflecting the strong and longstanding relationship they share.

Overall, the discussions between the Lebanese and Qatari officials underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and working together to address the challenges faced by Lebanon. Qatar’s support and solidarity with Lebanon during these difficult times were emphasized, as well as its commitment to promoting peace, security, and stability in the region. The meeting served as a platform for both countries to exchange views and ideas on how to navigate the current situation and move forward towards a brighter future for Lebanon.
