The Kozhikode District Pravasi Forum (KPF Bahrain) recently organized a Special Mega Medical Camp in collaboration with Al Hilal Hospital and Medical Center’s Manama Central Branch to celebrate World Mental Health Day. The camp offered free blood tests for over 400 participants and will provide specialist doctor consultations and eye check-ups over the next 10 days. The event was inaugurated by Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam President Mr. P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai, with other notable guests including Mr. Francis Kaitharath and Dr. P.V. Cherian.

The Mega Medical Camp saw the participation of various dignitaries, including prominent doctor and social activist Dr. P.V. Cherian, and was presided over by KPF President Mr. Jamal Kuttikkattil. The event began with a welcome address by General Secretary Mr. Harish P.K. and concluded with a vote of thanks by Convener Mr. Savinesh. Guests also heard from KPF Treasurer Mr. Shaji Puthukudi, as well as Patrons Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath and Mr. U.K. Balan, along with cine-serial artist Ms. Sreelaya Robin.

During the event, Al Hilal Hospital’s Marketing Head, Mr. Unnikrishnan, received a memento on behalf of the hospital from KPF in recognition of their support. The success of the camp was attributed to the combined efforts of KPF’s Executive Committee, Charity Wing, and Women’s Wing, along with the assistance of Al Hilal’s doctors and paramedical staff. The coordination of the proceedings was overseen by Women’s Wing Convener Mrs. Rama Santhosh, ensuring the smooth running of the event.

The Medical Camp provided much-needed services to the community, offering free blood tests and consultations to over 400 participants. This initiative was part of the ongoing celebrations for World Mental Health Day and aimed to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in the community. The collaboration between KPF Bahrain and Al Hilal Hospital highlights the commitment of both organizations to improving the health and well-being of the residents in Manama and beyond.

The presence of distinguished guests at the Mega Medical Camp, such as Dr. P.V. Cherian and Mr. Francis Kaitharath, underscores the significance of the event and the impact it has on the community. By providing access to free medical services and consultations, the camp not only addresses the immediate healthcare needs of participants but also promotes a culture of proactive health management and awareness. The involvement of various stakeholders, including KPF members, Al Hilal Hospital staff, and community leaders, exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and community empowerment.

The recognition of Al Hilal Hospital’s support through the presentation of a memento highlights the importance of partnerships in ensuring the success of such community initiatives. The combined efforts of KPF Bahrain and Al Hilal Hospital, along with the dedication of volunteers and staff members, have made a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of individuals who were able to benefit from the services provided at the Mega Medical Camp. This collaborative approach sets a positive example for future initiatives and showcases the power of unity in addressing healthcare challenges and promoting well-being in the community.

In conclusion, the Special Mega Medical Camp organized by Kozhikode District Pravasi Forum (KPF Bahrain) in collaboration with Al Hilal Hospital and Medical Center’s Manama Central Branch was a resounding success, providing essential medical services to over 400 participants. The participation of esteemed guests and the dedication of volunteers and staff members underscore the commitment of both organizations to improving the health and well-being of the community. Through initiatives like these, awareness about the importance of mental health and proactive healthcare management is raised, contributing to a healthier and more empowered community in Manama.
