His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa stated that Bahraini citizens will remain the primary focus of all developmental plans and programs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This statement was made during a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Sakhir Palace. On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Supreme Council for Women and the Kingdom’s Silver Jubilee celebrations of HM the King’s Accession, King Hamad expressed pride in the contributions of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the SCW, in advancing the status of women across various sectors. HM the King praised HRH Princess Sabeeka for her national contributions in strengthening Bahraini families and supporting women’s aspirations in the national development process. The distinguished status, progress, leadership, and active roles of Bahraini women as key partners in the development and advancement process were commended by HM King Hamad.
Regarding regional and international developments, including the current situation in the Middle East, HM the King emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to ensure the protection of civilians and provide humanitarian assistance. De-escalation, conflict prevention, and the search for lasting and comprehensive peace in the region were also highlighted by His Majesty. The importance of finding a method for sustainable peace in the region was underscored by HM King Hamad to promote stability and prosperity.
