The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara recently unveiled an exhibition titled “Migrants” by Saudi fine artist Saleh Alqasem in Building 18, which will be on display until September 14. The opening of the exhibition was attended by notable figures such as Katara General Manager Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Qatar H H Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud, as well as representatives from various diplomatic missions, art enthusiasts, and artists.
Showcasing a collection of 30 paintings, Alqasem’s exhibition explores the theme of migration through impressionistic, abstract, and expressionist styles. The artist utilizes colors and shapes to evoke feelings of nostalgia for the past, a deep-rooted connection to nature, and a profound love for a particular place.
