A panel discussion during the event in Doha organized by the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, brought together a group of creative Gulf poetesses including Badriya Al-Badri, Dr. Noura Al Wahmid, and Moza Abdul Rahman Al-Misnad. The session was moderated by journalist Ishraf Bin Murad and drew a large crowd of poetry and literature enthusiasts. The poetesses showcased their poems which touched on themes such as love for the homeland, wisdom, description, and elegy, inspired by the Gulf environment and its rich culture.

Omani poetess Badriya Al Badri stood out with her poems expressing love for Qatar and other topics, showcasing her poetic talent through a mix of classical and Nabati poetry. Al-Badri’s accolades include the Katara Award for the Poet of the Messenger in 2021 and second place in the Al Burda Award in 2023 for Popular Poetry. Dr. Noura Al Wahaimid recited her Nabati poetry, revealing her early start in composing poetry influenced by her grandfather, popular poet Mohammed Al Jassim Al Wahmid.

Poetess Moza Abdul Rahman Al Misnad also impressed the audience with her poems about love for the homeland, showcasing powerful words and deep meanings across different poetic themes. She concluded her participation with a heartfelt poem dedicated to Palestine. The event also featured a dialogue moderated by Ishraf Bin-Murad, where the poetesses shared their sources of inspiration and creative experiences, adding a unique touch to the session.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to the participating poetesses, highlighting Katara’s recognition of their creativity and contributions to the local, Gulf, and Arab literary scenes. The poetry reading session at Katara was a celebration of Gulf talent and culture, bringing together renowned poetesses to showcase their work and engage with poetry enthusiasts in a captivating and inspiring environment. The event was a testament to the power of poetry in connecting people, bridging cultures, and showcasing the beauty and richness of the Gulf literary landscape.
