The film industry was in mourning as Anil Mehta, father of Bollywood actress Malaika Arora, was laid to rest at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium in Mumbai. Malaika Arora, along with her son Arhaan Khan, attended the funeral. Several celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Farah Khan Kunder, Sajid Khan, Sohail Khan, Nirvaan Khan, Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis, Gauhar Khan, and others also paid their last respects.

Malaika Arora’s close friend Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan visited the Arora residence to offer condolences. The atmosphere at the gathering was filled with grief and solidarity from the film fraternity. Anil Mehta’s death, which took place on September 11, is being investigated by the Mumbai police as possible suicide, with all angles being explored. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination to gather more insights into the tragedy.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Malaika Arora expressed deep sorrow over her father’s passing. She described him as a gentle soul, devoted grandfather, loving husband, and their best friend. The family is devastated by the loss and has requested privacy during this difficult time. Malaika Arora was not present at her father’s home when the incident occurred and was reportedly in Pune. She rushed back to Mumbai upon hearing the tragic news, with her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan also offering support.

The Bollywood industry came together to support Malaika Arora during this challenging time, showcasing their solidarity and love for one another. The funeral ceremony was attended by a host of celebrities who came to pay their respects to Anil Mehta. The tragic loss has left a deep impact on Malaika Arora and her family, with the industry standing by them in their moment of grief. The investigation into Anil Mehta’s death is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
