Juventus and Napoli faced off in a goalless draw as they fought for Serie A supremacy. The match saw former Juve coach Antonio Conte returning to Turin to face his old team, but the game ultimately ended in a stalemate. Juventus, under the guidance of Thiago Motta, maintained their unbeaten run in Serie A but failed to secure the top spot in the league table.

The match was fiercely contested but lacked excitement, with both teams cancelling each other out on the pitch. Juventus, who are yet to concede a goal in Serie A this season, missed the opportunity to claim the top spot which is currently held by local rivals Torino. Napoli, sitting in third place, are just a point behind Torino, showcasing the competitiveness of the Serie A title race this season.

Conte, who enjoyed immense success with Juventus as both a player and coach, received a low key welcome from his former supporters. The match was a tight affair, with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. Napoli had the two best opportunities of the game, with Matteo Politano being denied by a fine save from Michele Di Gregorio and later slamming a shot over the bar.

The match was overshadowed by the unfortunate passing of former Juventus striker Toto Schillaci, who passed away at the age of 59 after battling bowel cancer. The fans paid their respects to the Italian hero before the game, but some Napoli supporters disrupted the moment with inappropriate behavior, drawing the ire of the home fans. Despite the lack of goalmouth action, both teams seemed content to settle for a draw rather than risk a defeat to a direct rival early in the season.

In a separate match, Venezia secured their first win since being promoted to Serie A, beating Genoa 2-0 at home. The league continues to be full of surprises and intense competition, with the top teams vying for supremacy in what promises to be an exciting season of Italian football. Juventus and Napoli will look to bounce back from their draw and continue their quest for Serie A glory in the coming weeks.
