Joakim Haeggman, the recent birthday-boy, takes the lead at the Jaypee Greens tournament with a seven-under, closely followed by American Clark Dennis. Jeev Milkha Singh, the tournament host and a participant, is tied for third place after shooting a four-under on the opening day. Despite his solid performance, Jeev acknowledges that there is always room for improvement, particularly in his short game.

Haeggman, who celebrated his 55th birthday recently, holds the first place with a lead of two strokes over Dennis. The golf course at Jaypee Greens presented a fair challenge, with only 13 players out of the 64-player field being under par. Jeev attributes his good performance to being able to relax on the golf course, despite the hot and humid weather conditions. He is optimistic about the upcoming rounds and plans to focus on improving his game further.

Jeev is paired with Adilson Da Silva and Michael Campbell for the next round, with the tee time set for 8:30 am. Notable players such as Jyoti Randhawa are also in the top five, adding local interest to the tournament. Jeev emphasizes the importance of media duties and interviews, expressing his willingness to cooperate with the press. After a long day, he looks forward to spending time with his family and relaxing before the next round.

Regarding his son Harjai Milkha Singh, Jeev shares that the young golfer is part of the India Junior Development Squad and plays off a four handicap. Despite a slightly disappointing performance in the Legends Amateur Experience Division, Harjai is determined to improve his game. Jeev also mentions playing with cricket legend Yuvraj Singh, highlighting the natural talent that some cricketers possess for golf.

As the tournament progresses, Jeev remains focused and committed to performing well in each round. With his experience and determination, he aims to continue his success on the golf course. Jeev’s participation in the event not only showcases his skills as a golfer but also highlights his dedication to the sport. As a prominent figure in Indian golf, Jeev’s performance at the Jaypee Greens tournament is closely watched by fans and enthusiasts alike.
