Former Dubai Desert Classic winner Jose Caceres and Indian cricketing legend Kapil Dev are among the big names in the draw for the HSBC India Legends Championship. Tournament host Jeev Milkha Singh is gearing up for an exciting week as he prepares to host the event at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort in Noida, India. Co-sanctioned with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), this event showcases Jeev’s commitment to the sport and brings attention to the growing popularity of golf in India.

Jeev sees this tournament as a fantastic opportunity to connect with fans and fellow golfers alike. The event, previously known as the European Tour’s Seniors Tour, is a significant occasion for senior golf in the region. With 64 players from 17 countries competing, there is a strong field of participants. Besides Caceres and Dev, other notable players such as Chris Williams, a winner of the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters, will also be in the competition.

Jeev Milkha Singh, who recently returned from competing in the 11th Maruhan Cup on the Japan Senior Tour, is optimistic about his performance in the upcoming tournament. With competitive rounds and rain delays during his last outing, Jeev is prepared for the challenges ahead. The tournament will feature Pro-Ams on Wednesday and Thursday, providing an opportunity for professionals, sponsors, supporters, and celebrities to participate.

Apart from the golfing action, there are several activities planned for the week, including Golf Clinics to promote local junior golf and social events like the Welcome Dinner and Fashion Show Dinner. The tournament also offers an excursion to the Taj Mahal for players interested in experiencing India’s rich culture and heritage. Jeev is excited to share his first impressions of the golf course at Jaypee Greens in his upcoming diary content.

With the event taking place at a historic course that has hosted prestigious tournaments in the past, such as the Avantha Masters, Jeev is looking forward to testing his skills and improving upon his previous performances. As a Dubai Golden Visa Awardee and a seasoned professional with 20 worldwide wins, Jeev is prepared to give his best both on and off the golf course during the HSBC India Legends Championship. The tournament not only elevates the status of golf in India but also serves as a platform to showcase the country’s sporting and cultural heritage.
