The AFC U23 title match between Uzbekistan and Japan in Doha had both teams aiming to clinch the championship. Uzbekistan was looking to repeat their 2018 heroics, while Japan sought to relive their 2016 triumph in Doha. Muhammadqodir Hamraliev and Alibek Davronov of Uzbekistan had attempts blocked, while Saidazamat Mirsaidov’s shot missed narrowly. Japan’s Kein Sato also missed a shot from outside the box, with Mao Hosoya receiving a yellow card for a foul. Despite several attempts, both teams failed to break the deadlock in the first half.

The fans showed their support for their respective teams at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, with Japan and Uzbekistan supporters cheering on their teams. The player line-ups for both teams were announced, with the anticipation building for the historic final in Doha. Despite several attempts, including shots from Abdurauf Bo’riyev and Ruslanbek Jiyanov of Uzbekistan, the deadlock remained. The tension continued to rise as the match reached its pinnacle, with fans on the edge of their seats.

With both teams giving their all on the pitch, the final moments of the match were filled with excitement and anticipation. As the referee blew the final whistle, the scoreboard still read 0-0, sending the match into extra time. The AFC U23 title was still up for grabs, with Uzbekistan and Japan battling it out for glory in Doha.
