Interior Ministry unveils strategy for 2024-2030

The Ministry of Interior in Doha, Qatar celebrated the launch of its 2024-2030 strategy in the presence of Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force. The aim of the strategy is to achieve regional and international leadership, ensure security stability, public safety, and develop services through excellence in performance. The Ministry is committed to strategic planning within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030 to keep pace with improvements and ensure continuous development towards achieving the aspirations of leadership and society. The strategic plan was prepared in coordination with the departments of the Ministry of Interior, focusing on key pillars including sustainability and performance excellence.

The Ministry’s 2024-2030 strategy responds to the National Development Strategy Project 2024-2030, with a framework and methodology established to ensure the plan is prepared scientifically and soundly. The strategy was developed based on evaluating the internal and external environments of the Ministry and their impact on achieving the Ministry’s vision and Qatar National Vision 2030. The presentation of the strategy included an overview of its connection to Qatar National Vision 2030, Qatar’s position in global indicators in 2023, and the major awards the Ministry has received during the previous 2018-2022 strategy period.

The Ministry of Interior’s 2024-2030 strategy aims to achieve seven goals, including maintaining security stability and reducing crime rates, protecting society from drugs, combating cybercrimes and threats, enhancing road safety, protecting and saving lives and property, efficiently managing emergencies, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of human and material resources, and enhancing the quality of services provided by the Ministry. The ceremony also showcased the progress and development of the Ministry of Interior in achieving security stability over the past periods up to the present day, highlighting the achievements of the strategy and the aspirations of the new 2024-2030 strategy.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Interior’s 2024-2030 strategy aims to achieve regional and international leadership, ensure security stability, public safety, and develop services through excellence in performance. The strategy was developed within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030 and focuses on key pillars including sustainability and performance excellence. The strategy responds to the National Development Strategy Project 2024-2030, with a framework and methodology to ensure it is prepared scientifically and soundly. The presentation of the strategy covered its connection to Qatar National Vision 2030, Qatar’s position in global indicators in 2023, and the major awards received during the previous strategy period.
