Interior Minister Commemorates World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, Vows to Continue Fighting Against the Issue

The Minister of Interior, His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, recently gathered with top officials to mark the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, observed on July 30th. During the assembly, His Excellency highlighted Bahrain’s achievements in human rights, crediting the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He praised Bahrain’s success in combatting human trafficking and maintaining its international standing for the seventh consecutive year, calling for increased efforts to sustain this progress.

His Excellency stressed the importance of utilizing scientific and technological advancements in security work, such as artificial intelligence, to enhance security readiness and combat remote crimes effectively. He emphasized the need for rigorous monitoring, analysis, comparison, and accuracy in gathering information. The Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science expressed gratitude to the Minister of Interior for his support of the Anti-Human Trafficking Directorate and praised the Chief of Public Security for overseeing security work comprehensively.

Furthermore, His Excellency honored members of the Anti-Human Trafficking Directorate for their roles and efforts in combatting trafficking and serving the nation. The Minister highlighted the significance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in combating human trafficking effectively. He emphasized the importance of joint efforts, information-sharing, and coordination to tackle this global issue. His Excellency stressed the need for a unified approach to combatting trafficking and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals.

In conclusion, the Minister of Interior’s assembly to mark the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to combatting human trafficking and protecting human rights. His Excellency emphasized the importance of leveraging scientific advancements and technological innovations in security work to enhance readiness and combat remote crimes effectively. The Minister praised the efforts of the Anti-Human Trafficking Directorate and honored its members for their dedication to their security roles. He called for increased efforts to sustain Bahrain’s progress in combatting trafficking and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in this endeavor. With continued dedication and collective action, Bahrain is poised to further elevate its status as a leader in combating human trafficking.
