Intaj Sohar, a subsidiary of the Industrial Innovation Academy and supported by Madayn, has signed cooperation agreements with Muna Noor Plastic Industries, Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives, Techno Plastic Industry, and National Aluminum Products Company. These agreements aim to enhance cooperation between Intaj Sohar and the companies in the fields of mould manufacturing, precision components manufacturing, and reverse engineering. By partnering with these companies, Intaj Sohar hopes to reduce production costs incurred by importing moulds from overseas markets and support local industries.

Eng. Majid Al Hinai, General Manager of Intaj Sohar for Advanced Manufacturing, expressed his optimism about the signed agreements and highlighted their potential to enable and support local factories and companies. The agreements will play a key role in manufacturing cost-effective moulds for production processes, ultimately boosting economic competitiveness and promoting local value addition. Intaj Sohar currently comprises three main units, including the Plastic Technology and Moulds Manufacturing Centre, the Advanced Manufacturing Centre, and a unit for reverse engineering and machinery.

The objectives of Intaj Sohar align with the overall goals of Madayn in developing technological skills and capabilities, prototyping, product and tools designing and manufacturing, advanced training and HR development, enhancing in-country value (ICV), promoting economic diversification, fostering job creation, and providing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial sector.
