Manu Bhaker, the record-breaking shooter from India, has dedicated her recent success in the Paris Olympics to her coach, Jaspal Rana. She attributes her achievements to the mantra of hard work and strategic planning that has allowed her to make history effortlessly in the ongoing Olympics. The Paris Olympics has been a redemption song for Bhaker after her pistol malfunctioned during the Tokyo Olympics. She marked a historic moment by becoming the first Indian woman in two decades to reach a shooting final in an individual event of the Olympics since 2004. She secured a bronze medal in the women’s air pistol event, opening India’s medal tally in the current Olympics.

On Tuesday, Bhaker and her teammate Sarabjot Singh defeated South Korea’s Lee Wonho and Oh Ye Jin 16-10 in the bronze medal play-off match in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. This victory marks Bhaker’s second medal in the Olympics and makes her the first athlete from independent India to secure two medals in the same Olympic event. After her historic win, Bhaker acknowledged the importance of her coach’s strategic planning in her success. She emphasized the balance and hard work she puts into each event and credited her coach for his role in her achievements.

Despite the potential for a gold or silver medal in the mixed team event, Bhaker and Singh narrowly missed out and settled for a bronze. Bhaker’s pursuit of a third Olympic medal will continue in August when she competes in the 25m pistol event. Her dedication to balancing training for all events and her coach’s strategic planning have been crucial factors in her success so far in the Paris Olympics. Bhaker’s commitment to hard work and determination serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes looking to make a mark in the field of shooting sports.

In her post-victory statement, Bhaker expressed gratitude towards her coach, Jaspal Rana, for his instrumental role in her success. She highlighted the collaborative effort between athletes and coaches in training and preparation for the Olympics. Bhaker’s historic achievements in the Paris Olympics have brought pride to the nation and showcased her talent and determination on the global stage. She continues to push the boundaries of excellence in shooting sports and remains focused on her goal of securing more medals for India in the upcoming events.

As a trailblazer for Indian women in the field of shooting, Manu Bhaker’s success story serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring athletes across the country. Her dedication to training, strategic planning, and hard work has paid off in the form of multiple medals in the ongoing Paris Olympics. Bhaker’s journey from facing challenges in the Tokyo Olympics to rewriting history in Paris is a testament to her resilience and determination. With her coach’s guidance and support, Bhaker continues to set new records and raise the bar for excellence in shooting sports. The nation eagerly awaits her future performances and hopes for more success in the upcoming events.
