The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced Team India’s squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, which includes three T20Is and three ODIs. Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the captain for the T20Is, with Shubman Gill serving as the Vice Captain. The T20I matches will take place in Pallekele from July 27 to July 30, while the ODIs will begin in Colombo on August 2. The squad includes some promising young talents such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag, and Harshit Rana, along with stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul.

In the T20I squad, players like Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, and Washington Sundar have also been included to provide depth and experience to the team. The bowling attack will be led by Mohammed Siraj, Khaleel Ahmed, and Ravi Bishnoi, while the all-rounders Shivam Dube and Axar Patel will play a crucial role in both batting and bowling departments. The ODI squad, led by Rohit Sharma, features a similar balance of youth and experience, with players like Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel adding depth to the squad.

With the young talents in the squad, Team India will be looking to put up a strong performance in both the T20Is and ODIs against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav, who has been in impressive form in recent times, will be eager to showcase his leadership skills as the captain of the T20I side. Under the guidance of head coach Rahul Dravid, the team will aim to build on their recent successes and continue their winning momentum in the upcoming series.
