India announces Under-19 squad with inclusion of Rahul Dravid’s son, Samit

The Junior Selection Committee has recently announced India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming home series against Australia Under-19. The series will consist of three ODIs and two four-day matches, to be played in Puducherry and Chennai. The series will start with the three ODI matches on September 21, 23, and 26, followed by the two four-day matches from September 30 to October 7.

Mohd Amaan from Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) will lead the Men in Blue in the white-ball format, while Soham Patwardhan from Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) will captain the team in the red-ball format. One of the players selected for the series is Samit Dravid, the son of former Indian Cricket Team coach Rahul Dravid.

The squad includes players from various cricket associations across India, such as UPCA, MPCA, KSCA, GCA, MAHCA, MCA, KCA, CAB, BCA, RCA, PCA, CAU, and UTCA. The India U19 squad for the one-day series includes players like Rudra Patel, Sahil Parakh, Kartikeya KP, Abhigyan Kundu, and more. On the other hand, the squad for the four-day series includes players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nitya Pandya, Vihan Malhotra, Aditya Singh, and others.

The selection of these talented young cricketers signifies the depth of talent in Indian cricket at the junior level. With players from different cricket associations showcasing their skills, it promises to be an exciting series between India and Australia U19 teams. The presence of promising young talents like Samit Dravid adds to the anticipation and excitement surrounding this upcoming multi-format series.
