The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia is making preparations for the upcoming annual pilgrimage of Hajj by allocating ‘New Mina’ residential towers for domestic pilgrims. These towers have the capacity to accommodate 11,000 pilgrims and will soon offer a new package for domestic pilgrims. Located in Mina, about one kilometer from the Jamarat, each of these new towers has five floors with three elevators for pilgrim use and a separate elevator for services, as well as bathroom complexes. The rooms in these towers are designed to accommodate between 25 and 30 pilgrims each, providing adequate space for comfort and convenience during their stay.

In addition to the new residential towers in Mina, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is also considering launching new Hajj packages, including a ‘One Day Package’ specifically designed for the residents of Makkah. These initiatives aim to cater to the diverse needs of pilgrims and provide them with a seamless and comfortable Hajj experience. The ministry is working with four service providing companies to ensure that domestic pilgrims are well taken care of during their pilgrimage.

Last year, a Hajj Ministry official announced that 12 residential tower projects are in progress and are expected to be completed in time for the Hajj of 2024. Saad Al Qurashi, advisor to the National Committee for Hajj and Umrah, emphasized the importance of completing these towers in time to accommodate pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season. The ministry is working diligently to ensure that the new residential towers and packages are fully operational and ready to welcome pilgrims.

The ‘New Mina’ residential towers in Mina are strategically located close to the Jamarat, making it convenient for pilgrims to access the holy site. With three elevators designated for pilgrim use and a separate elevator for services, the towers are designed to facilitate easy movement and accessibility for all. The rooms in these towers are designed to accommodate a large number of pilgrims, with each room capable of housing between 25 and 30 individuals.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s efforts to provide comfortable accommodation and convenient packages for domestic pilgrims demonstrate their commitment to ensuring a successful Hajj experience. By working with service providing companies and launching new packages like the ‘One Day Package’, the ministry aims to cater to the diverse needs of pilgrims and enhance their overall pilgrimage experience. The completion of the new residential towers in Mina and the implementation of new packages will contribute to a seamless and well-organized Hajj season for domestic pilgrims.

As the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah continues to make preparations for the upcoming Hajj season, the completion of the ‘New Mina’ residential towers and the launch of new packages signal a step towards providing enhanced services and accommodations for pilgrims. With a focus on convenience, comfort, and accessibility, the ministry is dedicated to ensuring that domestic pilgrims have a fulfilling and memorable Hajj experience. The completion of the residential towers and the implementation of new packages will further streamline the pilgrimage process and contribute to a successful and well-organized Hajj season.
