Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority’s pavilion was awarded the Best Display Platform Award in the Environmental and Cultural Heritage Conservation category at the 21st Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). The pavilion aimed to promote ecotourism and establish the reserve as a global destination known for its rich heritage and natural beauty. Visitors enjoyed innovative tourism programs such as the Darb Zubaydah Winter Festival, environmental camps, and luxurious Husky Caravans. The pavilion also highlighted heritage landmarks like King Abdulaziz Palace, Lina Heritage Market, Al-Ashar Pool, and Umm Al-Asafir Waterfall, providing a unique experience for visitors.

The Northern Reserve for Sustainable Hunting, the first reserve of its kind in the Kingdom, was also showcased at the pavilion. Various accommodation options such as eco-camps and eco-lodges were introduced, along with information on permitted hunting methods and prey types available. The authority’s support for the local community was evident through the highlighting of local craftsmen like calligraphers, weavers, and beekeepers, as well as the display of natural honey produced by them. The pavilion also introduced the Husky Caravans, offering individuals and families a unique camping experience amidst nature and breathtaking landscapes, including stargazing activities.

In addition to promoting ecotourism and conservation efforts, the authority actively involves the local community and raises awareness about the importance of preserving biodiversity and achieving sustainable development. Traditional folk shows featuring the melodies of the Hajini, the tunes of the Rababa, and the beats of the Samri drums of Unaizah were presented at the pavilion. This active participation reflects the authority’s commitment to preserving natural and cultural heritage, promoting eco-tourism awareness, and supporting the local community. The pavilion was a prominent destination at the exhibition, attracting thousands of visitors from different countries around the world.

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition attracted more than 250,000 visitors from 70 countries, with 1,742 brands participating and hundreds of activities and live shows, including workshops and educational sessions. The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority is the second-largest royal reserve, spanning 91,500 square kilometers, and is home to over 138 species of wildlife and 179 plant species. The reserve is known for its breathtaking nature, unique environmental and biological diversity, as well as its heritage landmarks, archaeological sites, and historical sites that attract visitors from around the world.
