Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has emerged stronger than expected after recent street races in Azerbaijan and Singapore. Team boss Christian Horner is optimistic about the remainder of the season, with Verstappen’s lead over McLaren’s Lando Norris currently at 52 points. Despite McLaren’s lead in the constructors’ standings, Red Bull is confident in their development direction and strategies going forward.

The upcoming races in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi will be crucial for Red Bull’s performance. Verstappen’s recent finishes in Baku and Singapore have shown improvements in the team’s understanding of the car’s limitations and potential development paths. Horner believes that the team is on the right track and is focused on addressing root causes that have affected their performance.

McLaren is still hopeful for the drivers’ championship, with Norris seeking to close the gap on Verstappen. However, with a mountain to climb mathematically, Norris will need to increase his points scoring rate. With three sprint races and a maximum of 180 points up for grabs, the battle for the championship remains unpredictable. Despite challenges at Azerbaijan and Singapore, Verstappen maintains a healthy lead over his competitors.

Verstappen’s lead has remained intact despite an eight-race winning streak and no victories since June. The Dutch driver is determined to kick-start his performance in the upcoming races and maintain his advantage. Norris, on the other hand, will need to maximize his scoring potential to challenge Verstappen’s lead. With the season heading towards its conclusion, both teams are gearing up for a competitive end to the championship.

Red Bull’s recent performances have highlighted improvements in their development strategies and understanding of the car’s limitations. Verstappen’s lead over Norris remains significant, but with crucial races ahead, the championship battle is far from over. As the season enters its final rounds, fans can expect thrilling races and intense competition between Red Bull and McLaren. Overall, the championship remains open, with both teams eager to secure victories and points in the upcoming races.
