Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), a leading real estate developer in the Middle East, is poised to make a significant impact on the Omani property market with an ambitious $5 billion investment. Spearheaded by CEO and Managing Director Hisham Talaat Moustafa, the Group will develop the Jood and Yamal projects, introducing its renowned expertise in creating smart, sustainable urban communities to the Sultanate. This expansion underlines TMG’s commitment to delivering high-quality living experiences and contributing to economic growth across the region.

TMG Expands into Oman with Landmark Developments

The decision to invest in Oman wasn’t taken lightly. Hisham Talaat Moustafa has consistently stated that Talaat Moustafa Group’s approach is rooted in meticulous research and analysis. “Our selection of the Sultanate of Oman came as a result of this, allowing us to replicate our successful experiences through the development of urban communities,” he affirmed during the official launch event. With over 55 years of experience, TMG has established a reputation for creating thriving communities, and this experience will be central to its Omani ventures.

This investment comes at a strategic time for Oman, aligning perfectly with the nation’s Oman Vision 2040, a comprehensive plan for economic diversification and social development. The projects aren’t simply about building structures; they’re about fostering sustainable lifestyles and contributing to Oman’s future.

Introducing Jood and Yamal: A New Standard of Living

TMG’s projects in Oman represent a dual strategy: catering to residential needs with Jood, and establishing a world-class coastal destination with Yamal. Both projects aim to introduce a new level of sophistication and integration to the Omani real estate landscape.

Jood: The Smart Sustainable City

Located within the rapidly developing Sultan Haitham City, Jood is envisioned as a fully integrated, smart, and sustainable community. This isn’t just a housing project; it’s a comprehensive ecosystem designed for modern living.

Jood will feature a diverse range of residential units, complemented by extensive green spaces, and a complete suite of amenities. These include commercial centers, entertainment facilities, medical services, educational institutions, and a dedicated social and sports club. The emphasis on sustainability will ensure a healthy and environmentally responsible lifestyle for residents.

Yamal: A Luxury Coastal Haven

In contrast to the inland focus of Jood, Yamal is a high-end residential and tourist community situated on the picturesque Gulf of Oman coast in Manuma. Boasting a stunning 1,760-meter beachfront, Yamal promises an exclusive lifestyle centered around luxury and recreation.

The project will include an international marina, a variety of water sports facilities, and world-class hotels. Residents and visitors alike will enjoy comprehensive services and diverse residential options, all with breathtaking views of the sea and marina. Yamal is designed to be a premier destination for both living and leisure.

Leveraging Global Standards and a Proven Track Record

Talaat Moustafa Group isn’t simply exporting its projects; it’s adapting its proven model to the specific context of the Omani market. Hisham Talaat Moustafa has emphasized the Group’s unique ability to apply global standards consistently across its developments.

Currently, TMG’s projects in Egypt cater to over 1.5 million residents, offering a sophisticated quality of life and integrated services. This experience is invaluable as the Group expands into new territories. The commitment to sustainability is also a key differentiator, ensuring that these projects benefit not only current residents but also future generations.

Expansion Beyond Oman: A Regional Vision

The Omani investment is part of a broader regional expansion plan for TMG. Over the next five years, from 2025 to 2030, the Group intends to extend its community standards to an additional 1.5 million residents across Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Iraq. This ambitious goal demonstrates TMG’s confidence in the region’s growth potential and its commitment to becoming a leading force in urban development.

The official launch event for Jood and Yamal, held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, underscored the importance of these projects to Oman’s future. The presence of key government officials, including His Excellency Dr. Khalfan Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Town Planning, and senior leaders from TMG, highlighted the collaborative spirit driving these initiatives. Sales for both projects officially commenced on December 2nd, with a dedicated Sales Center now open at 595 November 18 Street in Muscat.

A Strong Foundation for Future Growth

Talaat Moustafa Group’s success is built on a foundation of diverse assets, intrinsic portfolio value, and a consistent track record of delivering high-quality projects. Ranked among the top 6% of companies in emerging markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, TMG boasts a market capitalization exceeding EGP 149 billion (approximately $3.1 billion).

This financial strength, combined with its expertise in real estate development, positions TMG for continued growth and success in Oman and beyond. The Group’s commitment to creating smart, sustainable, and fully integrated urban cities and communities is a testament to its long-term vision and dedication to improving the quality of life for millions of people. The launch of Jood and Yamal marks an exciting new chapter for TMG and a promising future for Oman’s urban landscape.
