His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa recently praised the progress made in municipal work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He emphasized the vital role that municipal efforts have played in advancing the country’s infrastructure, which is crucial for supporting economic and investment projects that benefit Bahraini citizens. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman expressed his gratitude to all municipal members for their dedicated contributions and wished them continued success in serving the Kingdom’s communities.

The celebration took place at the Muharraq Municipality to mark the 100th Anniversary of the first Municipal Council elections in Bahrain. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman, who is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), attended the event on behalf of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The celebration was held under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman credited the Kingdom’s comprehensive development to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, highlighted that the Kingdom’s municipal achievements were made possible by the continuous support of HM the King and HRH Prince Salman. Al Mubarak expressed his appreciation to HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman for attending the ceremony.

The Minister emphasized that Bahrain’s 100-year municipal history has become a model to be emulated globally, showcasing the importance of municipalities in promoting community development and providing quality services to citizens and residents of the Kingdom. The event was attended by several senior officials, highlighting the significance of municipal work and its role in the country’s progress. The Kingdom’s achievements in municipal work have been a result of the collective efforts of its leaders and members.
