HH Shaikh Khalid attends the Al Dana Award ceremony

The Al Dana Drama Awards ceremony and the launch of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival took place in Manama under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, showcasing the talent and creativity of Arab artists. The event was attended by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information, Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, GCC Secretary General, and other Arab Ministers of Information and Media. Shaikh Khalid congratulated the winners of the Al Dana Drama Award, recognizing their contributions to the Arab drama scene.

In his remarks, Shaikh Khalid highlighted the importance of arts as a reflection of societies and praised the support of Bahrain’s leadership in promoting cultural development. He emphasized the role of arts in highlighting Bahraini identity and values, as well as contributing to sustainable development. Shaikh Khalid also underscored the significance of festivals and awards in recognizing the achievements of both established and emerging artists, providing them with opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Shaikh Khalid commended the Ministry of Information and the Gulf Radio and Television for organizing the festival and award, acknowledging the efforts of the jury in evaluating the award-winning works. He also took the opportunity to meet with Arab artists, recognizing their success and wishing them continued prosperity in their careers. Among the personalities he met was Tareq Al Ibrahim, the manager of MBC drama channel, with whom he discussed mutual interests and praised MBC’s contributions to the industry, particularly in sponsoring the Al Dana Award.

Overall, the event served as a platform for celebrating the achievements of Arab artists, fostering collaboration and exchange of expertise, and promoting the growth of the regional entertainment industry. With the support of leaders like Shaikh Khalid and initiatives like the Al Dana Drama Awards and the Gulf Radio and Television Festival, the future looks bright for the Arab drama scene as it continues to evolve and reach new heights of success.
