The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Bahrain recently hosted its 13th race of the 2025/2026 season, a thrilling event sponsored by stc Bahrain and attended by prominent members of the Bahraini royal family and racing community. This exciting day of Bahrain horse racing showcased exceptional talent from both horses and riders, solidifying the REHC’s position as a leading sporting venue in the Kingdom. The event wasn’t just about the races themselves; it was a celebration of equestrian sport, enhanced by interactive elements for the enthusiastic audience.

A Royal Presence at the stc Bahrain Sponsored Races

The race day was particularly distinguished by the presence of His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the REHC, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. His attendance underscored the importance of equestrian activities within Bahrain’s sporting landscape and the nation’s commitment to fostering such events.

Numerous other Their Highnesses and Excellencies also graced the event, demonstrating the widespread appeal of horse racing in Bahrain. Representatives from stc Bahrain, the official sponsor, were also present, actively participating in the day’s festivities and demonstrating their support for the REHC. The atmosphere was described as both competitive and vibrant, a testament to the dedication of the organizers and the passion of the participants.

Engaging the Audience with Interactive Experiences

stc Bahrain went beyond traditional sponsorship, actively working to enhance the experience for race attendees. A key element of this engagement was the introduction of interactive questions during the race rounds. These questions, posed to the spectators, offered opportunities to win cash prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement and participation to the event.

This innovative approach not only entertained the crowd but also fostered a deeper connection with the sport and the sponsor. It’s a prime example of how modern sponsorships are evolving to become more immersive and rewarding for all involved. The initiative proved popular, drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience throughout the day.

Nine Thrilling Rounds and the Presentation of the stc Bahrain Cups

The core of the event, of course, was the nine rounds of racing. Each round featured intense competition as horses from various stables vied for victory and the coveted stc Bahrain cups. The presentation of these trophies was a highlight, with key figures from stc Bahrain personally handing them to the winning connections.

Here’s a breakdown of the trophy presentations:

Round-by-Round Victories

  • Round 2: His Highness Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa received the trophy from Khalid Al Osaimi, Chief Executive Officer of stc Bahrain.
  • Round 4: Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa was again honored, receiving the trophy from Imran Aslam, Chief Strategy and Governance Officer.
  • Round 6: Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim, the winning owner, received the trophy from Shaikh Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Chief Government Affairs Officer of stc Bahrain.
  • Round 5: His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa accepted the trophy from Khalid Al Osaimi.
  • Round 7: The representative of the winning trainer, George Scott, received the trophy, also presented by Khalid Al Osaimi.
  • Round 1: Abdulla Kuwaiti, the winning trainer, was presented with the trophy by Ahmed Al Jawder, Chief Financial Officer of stc Bahrain.
  • Round 3: Mahdi Salah Mahdi, the winning owner, received his award from Ahmed Al Jawder.
  • Round 8: Khalid Al Hermis, the winning owner, was presented with the trophy by Ahmed Al Sharif, Chief Technology and Digital Officer.
  • Round 9: Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa completed a successful day, receiving the final trophy from Shaikh Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa.

The diverse range of winners across the nine rounds demonstrated the depth of talent within the equestrian community in Bahrain.

The Future of Bahrain Horse Racing

The 13th race of the REHC season, sponsored by stc Bahrain, was a resounding success. It showcased not only the thrilling spectacle of Bahrain horse racing but also the commitment of both the club and its sponsors to developing and promoting the sport. The interactive elements introduced by stc Bahrain were particularly noteworthy, setting a new standard for audience engagement at sporting events.

Looking ahead, the REHC is poised to continue its role as a central hub for equestrian activity in the Kingdom. With continued support from sponsors like stc Bahrain and the dedication of its members, the future of horse racing in Bahrain looks bright.
