Hatton expresses that winning again is a special feeling after capturing his first LIV Golf title in Nashville.

Tyrrell Hatton from England recently won the Individual title at LIV Golf Nashville after a three-and-a-half-year drought. Hatton, along with his Legion XIII team members, Jon Rahm, Caleb Surratt, and Kieran Vincent, also took home the Team title. Hatton’s last victory was in January 2021 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. He dominated the final round with a score of 65, finishing six shots ahead of Sam Horsfield from Majesticks GC, and a total of 19 under par. Hatton expressed his excitement at winning again after such a long time, highlighting the special feeling of victory.

Jon Rahm, the Captain of Legion XIII, praised Hatton’s performance, emphasizing his talent and skill. The team competition was also intense, with Legion XIII initially taking a 10-stroke lead, which was later narrowed down to four strokes. Despite the pressure, all four Legion players performed well, maintaining their lead and securing the victory. The battle for the remaining podium spots was equally competitive, with Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC finishing second and Torque narrowly defeating Majesticks GC for third place.

Also participating in the event were Dubai-based players Anirban Lahiri and Adrian Meronk, who finished tied 18th and tied 22nd respectively. Crushers GC currently leads the season-long Team Standings, with Meronk ranking 15th and Lahiri in 27th place in the Individual Standings. The next LIV Golf event is scheduled to take place in Andalucia, Spain at Real Club Valderrama on July 12th – 14th. This event promises to be another exciting opportunity for golf enthusiasts to witness top-tier competition.

In the Individual Event, the results were as follows: Hatton from Legion XIII took the top spot with a total of 194, followed by Horsfield from Majesticks GC with 200, and Niemann from Torque GC with 201. Rahm from Legion XIII tied for third place with Westwood from Majesticks GC and DeChambeau from Crushers GC, all scoring 201. In the Team Event, where all four scores were counted in the third round, Legion XIII emerged victorious with a score of -40, followed by Crushers GC at -35 and Torque GC at -34.

The LIV Golf Nashville event showcased exceptional talent and fierce competition among some of the best golfers from around the world. Hatton’s triumphant return to the winner’s circle after a long hiatus reflects his perseverance and dedication to the sport. The success of Legion XIII in both the Individual and Team events further highlights their strong teamwork and individual skills. As the golf season progresses, fans can look forward to more thrilling performances and nail-biting competitions at upcoming events like the one in Andalucia, Spain.
