Hatta Resorts and its Wadi Hub experienced a successful season from September 2023 to April 2024, with over 351,000 visitors, representing a 40.4 per cent increase from the previous season. Located in the picturesque Hajar Mountains, the Hatta region is famous for glamping and offering a range of thrilling adventures, making it an ideal destination for a quick city escape. With its natural beauty and outdoor activities, Hatta has become a popular sustainable destination for tourists seeking relaxation or adventure. The region has also been actively promoting its offerings through participation in various exhibitions and events, attracting both local and international visitors.

Dubai’s largest nature reserve, Hatta, is set to undergo further development in line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. Plans include the introduction of an all-season Hatta Beach Project and sustainable transportation systems, such as a mountain tram system, to enhance accessibility for visitors. These upcoming projects aim to attract even more tourists and provide them with opportunities to explore and experience the natural wonders of Hatta. Additionally, Hatta is at the forefront of local agricultural initiatives, with projects like the Hatta Honey Bee Discovery Centre and the upcoming Hatta Strawberry Farm, showcasing the region’s commitment to sustainability and conservation.

Roudi Soubra, the vice president of asset management at Dubai Holding Hospitality Assets, emphasized the importance of showcasing Hatta Resorts at exhibitions to highlight the growing eco-tourism sector in Dubai. Through collaborations with Dubai authorities and the local community, Hatta Resorts offers a range of accommodations, outdoor adventures at the Wadi Hub, and cultural experiences at historical sites and heritage villas. The focus on sustainability and cultural preservation aligns with Dubai’s long-term development plans, ensuring that Hatta remains a top-tier travel destination with diverse attractions for visitors.

Looking ahead, Hatta’s future plans involve further sustainability initiatives, innovation, and a continued commitment to preserving its natural beauty and cultural heritage. As the region prepares for another season starting in October 2024, visitors and travel professionals can anticipate an even wider range of experiences and attractions to enjoy. Dubai Holding, the company behind Hatta Resorts, is a global investment company with a diversified portfolio spanning multiple sectors, supporting the growth and diversification of Dubai’s economy. With investments in over 30 countries and a workforce of more than 40,000 people, Dubai Holding plays a key role in driving sustainable development and economic growth in the region.
